Author(s): Zeyad D Najmuldeen* and Tagreed NA Omar
Nitrogen containing heterocyclic compounds has received considerable attention due to their wide range of pharmacological activity such as anti-bacterial, antifungal, antioxidant, antiviral, anticancer, anti-inflammatory, analgesic and anticonvulsant. New sulfonamide pyrazoline derivatives (Z1-6) have been synthesized, by four steps: The first step included synthesis of chalcone using cross aldol condensation (claisen schmidt), the second step included synthesis of 2-chloro-N-(4-sulfamoylphenyl) acetamide (S), the third step included the synthesis of 2-hydrazineyl-N-(4-sulfamoylphenyl) acetamide (SH), finally; the fourth step involve the synthesis of 2-(3,5-diphenyl-4,5-dihydro-1H-pyrazol-1-yl)-N-(4-sulfamoylphenyl) acetamide derivatives (Z1-6) the final compounds, the progress of reaction was monitored by the use of thin layer chromatography and the structures o..
