Clinical Properties of Green Tea: Focus on Blood Lipid Profiles, Analgesia, Periodontal Status

Nowadays, considering medicinal herbs for treating of diseases, especially the infective ones, is increasing due to their less side effects compared to the chemical drugs. Green tea is a customary drink around the world and has detoxifying and antioxidant properties and has been evaluated as herbal medicine. In the recent years using medicinal herbs instead of synthetic medicine has been increased due to their less side effects and variety of active ingredients in many part of worldwide. The aim of this study is to investigate some of the effects of green tea. Green tea is effective on periodontal status and reduction of tooth decay. Moreover, green tea has antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antimutagenic, antimetastatic and anticarcinogenic activities.
