Epiphora due to nasolacrimal duct obstruction is a common clinical problem that can be caused by functional or anatomical abnormality. The dacrocystorhinostomy is a surgical procedure for diverting the flow of lacrimal apparatus into the nasal cavity through an artificial fistula made at the level of (lacrimal) sac.
