Opportunities and Difficulties in Conducting Research Among Dental Interns and Postgraduate Dental Students in Riyadh City, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

Introduction: Dental research is progressing worldwide. Recently, there has been a remarkable growth in dentistry due to the development of newer technologies, advancement in dental materials, and sophisticated diagnostic materials. So, a study was done to assess the awareness of opportunities and difficulties in conducting research among dental interns and postgraduate dental students. Methods: A cross-sectional survey using a self-administered questionnaire was conducted in Riyadh Elm University, Riyadh city, Saudi Arabia among dental interns and postgraduate dental students. A closed ended, structured questionnaire comprising of 21 items was used. The questionnaires consisted of demographic details, opportunities and difficulties when conducting research.
